Benchmark sintetici
I test sintetici sono un buon modo per trovare problemi di configurazione come overclock non richiesti (che invalidano un confronto equo) e problemi di configurazione - che possono rallentare determinati componenti. In questo caso possiamo vedere che l'X99E-ITX/ac ha un punteggio in 3Dmark 11 che soffre leggermente rispetto alle motherboard di dimensioni maggiori, ma non abbiamo capito la causa fino a quando non siamo arrivati alla fine del test sintetico.

Osserviamo un decifit del 36% nel modulo Cryptography di Sandra e il test successivo svela la ragione: la X99E-ITX/ac interfaccia solo due dei quattro canali di memoria della piattaforma. Il bandwidth scende a leggermente meno della metà. Vedremo qualche differenza rilevante nelle applicazioni reali?
