Il sito Statesman.com riporta le parole del CEO di Dell, Kevin Rollins, che afferma:
On the corporate side, Dell started using processors from Advanced Micro Devices Inc. in its higher-end servers, breaking an exclusive reliance on Intel Corp. chips. The Dell-AMD relationship will expand, Rollins said, though he declined to say exactly how. Intel has new products on the horizon, as well.
Il rapporto con AMD iniziato quest'anno sarà quindi espanso e forse, non sarà limitato al solo settore server. AMD ha faticato molto a "rompere" la barriera storica che Dell gli aveva innalzato davanti preferendogli sistematicamente soluzioni della rivale Intel.
